T.O.D. - Welli

Wellington had the pleasure of being our 4th stop of the Tour and they turned it on for us. San Fran Bath House was packed and really receptive to the hip-hop side of things with PNC + David Dallas winning the warmest reception of the night. Scribe also killed it and the drum n bass massive represented nicely aswell.
As with each of these shows the late nite shenanigans got pretty loose with one too many girls dancing onstage, 3 too many drunken mc's and one rather care free DJ playin 2 Live Crew songs and the cheesiest of 80's pop in the mix. A-ha! Good fun for those that stayed the distance!

On to Napier today. The Tour Of Dirty continues.....

What a success! If you missed our Auckland tour date at Zen last night you definitely missed a big one. We had well over 600 people through the doors and all the boys killed it with BIG performances and great crowd response. 3 dates in to the tour and this thing is shaping up to be a monster.
Its been quite a while since I've done New Zealand shows with this kind of vibe. Thanks to all the fans for coming out and showing love!!

Ozzie Is Alright - 2 Sides Of A Coin

Last nights gigs went really well. First up was Bondi Beach Rd with Mystro opening things for me with a hype live set and then I got on the mix and killed it with some real hip-hop shit. The crowd was definitely feeling the boom-bap style tracks so I took it there with a whole bunch of classics. Big tunes of the night were "It Aint Hard To Tell" and "Ante Up". Good fun!
After that it was a quick drive up to Liverpool to play at 'Urban Soul Lounge' at the Collingwood Hotel. Man, I never knew there were so many islanders in Sydney! (Lol jokes!!) It reminded me of my early gigs in Papatoetoe and Manukau. Mystro did his best to perform 2 of his new tracks but it really wasn't the right environment for him. Still he held it down and earnt his props. I got on the mix after his set and swiftly took it to the R+B side of things. Add in a few swizz beats club tracks later and we were good to go. Big songs of the night were Usher's new one and Rihanna's 'Please Don't Stop The Music'. My personal highlight was dropping the Horsemen 'Feels Like Magic' to a really good response. Its always dope hearing kiwi music get that positive reaction!
So there you have 2 completely different gigs, 2 very happy crowds and one satisfied DJ. Thank god for serato, there is no way in hell I would have been able to play both those shows in one night with the same crate of records!

If you have checked the little video box in the previous post or visited my page at www.mogulus.com/pmoney then you probably know whats up. Im experimenting with Web TV. At present there is a loop running that I recorded while setting up my page and getting the thing to work. I sound crazy bored in it, but it was past midnite and I was mad tired LOL. Anyway I will be back with more bits and pieces and the coolest shit is that it will be LIVE!!! (so long as you are logged on same time as me haha). I will let you know the times when Im gonna be doin live broadcasts and then you can join in and chat or harrass me with insulting comments LOL!!
Stay Tuned. P-Money LIVE. awesomes.

Aotearoa Allstars - Think Twice

At long last I am able to leak the Aotearoa Allstars - Think Twice track on myspace. This song is promoting non-violence and will be for sale on CD with all proceeds going to Youthline.
The Aotearoa Allstars line up features the following artists; Scribe, Delani, Flowz, Awa, Che-Fu, Cyphanetik, Tek (of R.E.S.), Chong-Nee, PNC, Mareko & Savage and was co-produced by myself and Mr. Evan Short.
Its truly a historical moment to have all these great artists collaborating on one track. This project is the brain child of DJ Sir-vere and I dont know if any other one person would have been able to bring together such an outstanding group of artists to all be on one track.
There is a video to follow and the CD single will be available to purchase very very soon. Please support the cause and buy a copy! Its all for charity, none of the artists, engineers or producers have been paid anything for their contributions. We are all doing it for the cause on this one. shot.

The song is up on my myspace now so head over and take a listen.

Pete Rock - We Roll

This is my song of the moment. It was one of the first tracks leaked from the new Pete Rock album "NY's Finest" and it's really grown on me. I got the whole album recently but I'm still stuck on this one track, its somethin about that beat man.
Jim Jones is okay on it and the other guy is really average but it doesnt matter cos its not about the individual parts but the whole composition that counts with this song.
Go out and find more of the Pete Rock catalogue if you arent that familiar with him. Pete is a legend who deserves our support!
